Periwinkle Flower is also known as Catharanthus roseus. Periwinkle plants are small plants growing outside & also find at Home in summer season. Sometimes it is called Vinca minor and Vinca periwinkle & usually called Madagascar Periwinkle.

Periwinkle Vinca & Vinca Rosea both are found in garden centers from start spring to late summer but both are different in uses.
They are found in different colors- Red, White & Pink colors.
Periwinkle flowers are easy to grow at home with less care. The leaves of this plant are opposite, shiny & bright green color with 4-6cm long 2-3 cm wide. Each leaf has single flowered. When we broke this flower they exclude milky juice.
These plants are grown about 6 inches tall, spreading in all directions with long trailing and rooting shoots which makes new plants.
These plants are beautiful for home gardening in pink & purple shade flowers. Periwinkle alkaloids have been used in the treatment of leukemia, Hodgkin disease, malignant lymphomas, neuroblastoma, Wilms tumor, Kaposi sarcoma, mycosis fungoides, to improve cerebral blood flow, and treat high blood pressure.
