Forest Ghost Flower is a parasitic gregarious herb plant native to Asian tropical vicinity inclusive of Bangladesh, Srilanka, India. Botanical name of the parasite plant is Aeginetia indica. It belongs to the plant own family Orobanchaceae. Common call of the plant is Forest Ghost Flower. I do no longer know any Bengali call of this plant.

This fleshy parasite plant grows on the root of grasses, rotten leafs of plant, and many others places. It can grow round 40-50 centimeter in peak. It grows at the wooded area at some stage in monsoon. This plant has a brown erect stem and the plants are on the top of it. Color of the flower is crimson and protected with a sepal. Shape of the flower is tubular. Seeds of this plant are very small and can be dormant for a long period.

Though its a parasite plant and deleterious for plants every so often, but nevertheless few area from China are savant with it’s medicinal makes use of. This plant grows at darker part of the forest. I meant wherein hardly ever any solar ray reaches. Seeing this flora on such region is type of horrifying, trust me.
